Yesterday, I featured Micky Dolenz of the Monkees. Today, I continue the Monkees theme by presenting Ami Dolenz, Micky's daughter (you thought I was going to say 'chimp', didn't you?). Dolenz has appeared in supporting roles in many feature films and tv shows. Her biggest role was probably her 2 year stint on tv's General Hospital.
I met Ms. Dolenz moments after meeting Papa Dolenz at the Motor City Comic Con. The odd thing was that their booths were seperated by some other booths. It seemed like they would have had neighboring booths. Each spoke well of the other and spent time with each other when not at their respective booths, so family disharmony was not the cause.
This might just have been an oversight on the part of the promoters or maybe some logistical thing. It doesn't really matter except for the diehard collectors who wanted a picture with the two of them together. Often, when 2 celebs have a major connection (either as relatives or costars), collectors like to have pictures with them together.

Ms. Dolenz, who has been more active onscreen lately, seemed very happy to meet her fans (and fans of her father, too). She almost appeared surprised by the number of people waiting to meet her.
